We are 40,000 researchers, educators, and public servants united to win strong contracts that increase retention of the workers who carry out UC’s mission. Management can agree to fair contracts for RPSPs, SSAPs, and ASEs, and join us in the fight to defend public higher education, or they can drag their feet and detract from our shared fight against Trump. It’s time for UC management to choose a side.
ULP STRIKE AUTHORIZATION VOTE
February 5th-13th
Over the months of bargaining, SSAPs, RPSPs, and ASEs have made strong proposals at each of our bargaining tables to guarantee dignified and stable pay, career advancement, job security, protections for international workers, and equity in the workplace. These proposals would strengthen UC’s core mission of public research and instruction in the public interest, but unlawful conduct by UC management is impeding the process of reaching fair agreements. The University has committed numerous unfair labor practices impacting SSAPs, RPSPs, and ASEs, including unlawful interference, bad faith bargaining, unilateral changes to working conditions, and failure to provide information that SSAPs, RPSPs, and ASEs each need for bargain on an equal footing.
University management can choose at any time to fix these unlawful actions and bargain in good faith for fair agreements. UAW workers at UC are prepared to hold management to account, and from February 5th-13th, SSAPs, RPSPs, and ASEs will vote to authorize our respective bargaining teams to call unfair labor practice strikes if circumstances justify.
Hear from SSAPs, RPSPs, and ASEs about the issues we’re fighting for!
